I feel like I should start today's Bible discussion myself and choose the subject :) I must admit that today I read the Bible's 'Adam and Eve' for the first time in all my full sixteen years… well, of course I've heard about rib thing and that the story is kind of lame and we agreed that we must understand uneasy parts of the Bible figuratively but this appears to be utterly fabulous. I mean, there is absolutely no way to find any indirect meaning - \n “But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh...” Helper! That's it. No, really, I guess you don't think that women are mere helps to the men, what allegory can you see here to somehow circumvent this? Ephesians 5:22-23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. \n 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. so it again says that women are to obey men it appears that there is even "Christian feminism", alhtough wiki|https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_feminism says that Some Christian Feminists made the decision to abandon direct scriptural use in their fight for equality, while others relied on verses that opposed patriarchal ideals, pointing out the inconsistencies within the Bible. clear thing they would abandon it when it says they just shut up and surrender to men lol well, as of now I must admit I have no good answer. For the time being I'd suggest to consider those and similar parts of the Bible in the same way as the stars in vault of the sky i.e. just ignore? here it is: Galatians 3:28: There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians? It's a letter from Paul, it's not Christ's words... anyway it's in the Bible and there is one more interesting thought| link thus Bible confirms that women can take same positions as mans
